Job Post Tracker Chrome Extension  ·  Last updated: March 2026  ·  Published by Keith Smith

Overview

Job Post Tracker is a free Chrome extension that helps you save and organize job postings during your job search. This policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is used, and where it is stored. Your privacy is taken seriously — the extension does not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way.

Data We Access

The extension accesses the following information:

The extension does not access your browsing history, passwords, personal files, or any pages you have not explicitly chosen to save.

How Data Is Used

Data accessed by the extension is used solely to:

No data is used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any purpose beyond the core job-tracking functionality described above.

Where Data Is Stored

Your saved job postings, notes, and tags are stored in your personal Notion workspace via the Notion API. Data is sent directly from your browser to Notion's servers using your own Notion credentials. The extension developer does not have access to your Notion workspace or the data stored within it.

Notion's privacy practices are governed by Notion's own Privacy Policy, available at notion.so/privacy.

Data Sharing

Your data is not shared with any third party other than Notion (as described above). The extension developer does not collect, receive, or store any of your data on independent servers.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because all data is stored in your Notion workspace, you have full control over retention and deletion. You can delete any saved job posting or associated notes directly within Notion at any time. Uninstalling the extension does not automatically remove data already saved to Notion; you must delete it from your Notion workspace if desired.

Permissions

The extension requests only the permissions necessary for its functionality. If the extension requests access to page content, that access is limited to pages where you actively invoke the extension to save a job posting.

Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under the age of 13. No data is knowingly collected from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed. Continued use of the extension after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
